Meh. 70 miles last Thursday, 2665 lbs in a 53 year old POS. Like a BOSS. Not my first option obv. but FYI an entire 1999 Mazda Miata weighs 360 lbs less than that!
Air shocks would never....lol. The front end was pretty light! I swapped the rear coils out for double bellow Firestone bags (#3200lb cap each). Bonus, I can air out and drop it low enough the GF can load the bikes by herself
cool functional upgrade for sure... I have an old 87 Jeep Commanche that I call the supertruck... 4.0 a/t command trac, body rusted off of it, yet those unibody “frames” are made out of some super alloy that doesn’t oxidize.... I was building a house and went to farmers fields and loaded field stones to the top of the bed rails every trip... right onto the body stops on the differential, leaf springs bent over backwards, the front tires skimming the road every trip... 42 of them In about a five mile radius... truck took it all and still asked for more... 100’ linear, 10’ tall, 2’ thick retaining wall, plus decorative foundation accents and fire pit padio(made it look like I built a house on an old barn foundation, yes on purpose)
