Well not really. I mean I could stand to lose a few but this is not what I needed. Dad went on vacation to Florida and brought back the Godzilla of stomach bugs. Not 8 hours after seeing him I’m home and in bed with terrible nausea. This is Wednesday evening about 6pm. Slept for an hour or so and all hell broke loose from both ends. I have officially cracked that top spot in gastrointestinal hell. By 9 pm I’m sitting on the porcelain god while at the same time hurling my cookies in the tub. By midnight the well was dry and I could finally fall into bed exhausted and pass out for 14 hours straight until it rumbled. My gut was churning like a high school boy watching their first porno. Off to the races I go again. On and off this hellish ride since then. I weighed 214 Monday morning. Just weighed in at 206. At this rate I’ll be under 200 by Monday. I’ve never been so nauseas that the smell of anything makes me want to let open the floodgates. And @stickboy274 , I know you were never close to him but since you’re such an easy and lovable target I’m blaming you. Send me free tires.
Electrolytes would help. They may come back up some. But those that stay would perhaps help some. Toast and crackers too.
sounds like you need some Marlboro Reds to really get the metabolism going! The 8lbs is likely water weight... stay hydrated!
I ate something on my last day of a trip in Europe once that made ill within a few hours. I didn't eat anything that last night for fear of spending the long flight in an airplane bathroom. Once I got home, I didn't really improve much over a week of being able to keep food in me. Since it had been more than a week, I went to the doc and they said I caught Traveler's diarrhea (I think. I remember it had Traveler's in the name.) She gave me some antibiotics that helped me return back to normal. I'm not sure how your dad would pass something like that along to you though.
Damn that sucks. Get better. I was drinking beers with some guys down at the AFJ shop last night joking about losing some weight to squeeze into our leathers this spring. You might be into something. Not the way I wanna do it but maybe easier than a diet and exercise!
Slept another 14 hours last night. Besides feeling a little lethargic and a pounding head I feel amazingly better. Absolutely insane how fast this came on. I would have chalked it up to food poisoning except everything that I suffered was the same as my dad. I was worried about him. At 83 years old he really gets beat up from colds and such anymore. I actually thought maybe he had food poisoning before I came down with it. Hoping I'm heading up the hill to recovery at this point and plan to keep the "free" weight loss off although I am sure it was mostly water weight and will come back but no big deal. The first night I actually took Pepto but then had the pleasure of purging it shortly thereafter. Not my best day for sure.
