Snow depth at Mammoth Lakes Cali is about 17ft at the base and over 22ft on the top. That's a lot of snow
The base at Alta and Snowbird is ~14 feet too. And snowing again today, more this weekend, etc. It's been a great snow year so far, but now lots of water-side areas are already readying and staging sandbags to prepare for when the first warm-up happens in a month or so. There will likely be 4th of July skiing at Snowbird again this year. We shall see.
Years ago at Mammoth, they cut a trail for a NORBA race, in July. Post race, they filled in the track and went back to skiing. I think it was documented in a Warren Miller film.
