Arai FIM RX-7V Racing (Corsair X) Size M

This is the Arai racing FIM homologated helmet used in all top-tier, international classes. This was my backup helmet, so it is lightly used and in great shape overall. A couple very small rock chips, as is usually the case. Currently not available for sale n the US, so it is fairly rare.

The fit and shell size are the Corsair X. Uses Corsair X face shields.

Size M. I installed 40mm cheekpads. New clear face shield included.

MFG date is 12/21.
Racing white (not white pearl).

What was the standard size cheek pads? Thanks.

 

A quick google search shows the stock cheek pad size for a M helmet as 25mm.

I don't know. But, Arai's size chart should be able to help you. Size M is generally 57-58cm.

 

Sorry for the vague question. I just wanted to see what kind of fitment you had with it.
I've never tried an arai and my nearby retailer has very little to try on.
My schuberth was a 54/55 cm but my head measures 57.5 cm, go figure.
I know a medium is a 57/58 but varies from make to make

 

The only odd size helmet I ever had was a Schuberth. But I'm a medium in Shoei, Arai, AGV, X-Lite -- 90% of other brands which also share a 57/58 measurement for that size.

I would say that 57.5 slots you right in the middle of the Arai medium size

Does it come with any additional padding to fine tune the fitment?
My understanding is that the fim version came with some pad shims.

It may have at some point, but I no longer have the box. I'm sure they're available from Arai.

FYI for shipment purposes, I have another helmet box so it will be packed up nicely.
