    That's impressive! I was working for a heat exchanger manufacturer and we were looking at additive mfg several years ago. Very cool!

    Thanks. Did you ever find one? Seems like powder bed people are a little more common than DED.

    If I was younger more ambitious version of myself, I'd be all over trying to land this role. Sounds like a great opportunity to play with some cool stuff and get paid for it.

    Getting the DOD and the engine manufacturers to sign off on them (at that point) was about a 12 year process

    It's amazing how slow aerospace moves. It's not much faster now. Give it another 10 years, or an arms race and the DoD will be all over AM.

    I've said the exact same thing about SpaceX lol.

    But yeah, this ain't boring and it's a pretty relaxed gig. Not a high stress incubator type of thing. Just the usual level of stress.
