My 'running' days ended long ago. I think I last ran in Chicago's O'Hare about 5 years ago, and that wasn't very far before I had to walk fast again...
If it’s in Florida (Daytona?) maybe just because I’ve been hanging out down there a lot and might be around when it happens. Wouldn’t make a special trip for it like I would COTA or INDY motogp’s.
Heading over to the "Roar before the 24" tomorrow. I think the 24 is going to be a barn-burner this year, and I will go to see it Rossi or not (sadly I don't have good tickets this year). I imagine he'll be there sooner or later, Sebring as well.
I will be there anyway so yes!! We were at the track today for the first day of the Roar before the 24. Great crowd, I will say it was the largest I have seen for the Roar in many years. They ran out of regular lot parking in the infield and were parking cars in the camping spots that were not occupied yet and it looked like that filled up as well. It was great to see the crowd and to see and hear the kick off of a busy month and a half at the speedway. Hoping to make it out again tomorrow if I can get everything done early enough in the day. If not I will be there next Saturday and Sunday.
Taking the camper to the infield again for the Rolex. Will be my 3rd year doing so. Looking forward to it.
You know I don't either really, but I took the kids up to Mid-Ohio for the Indy Car race a few years ago on a whim. I bought pit passes, we ate like shit, drank all of the lemonade and had a good time. The pits were like the AMA paddock where you could walk right up to the garages and haulers and eye the cars from inches away. I'd do it again.
He's not racing Daytona https://us.motorsport.com/imsa/news/rolex-daytona-entry-list-2023/10412846/ He races GT World Challenge https://us.motorsport.com/gtwce-end...e-in-2023-gt-world-challenge-europe/10348022/
