Wow Often called the best guitarist in the world by his fellow players because they said he makes it look so easy but what he's doing is so hard. One of my favs.

RIP rocker. Don’t hate me that when I read of your death, the video for “Ambitious” came to mind, and all I could remember was Donnie Osmond.

 

DAMN.....RIP. I saw him 2 years ago, he was in great form.

 

The family’s statement said it was bacterial meningitis. This is the second case of someone well known in their world who has passed from that recently.

 

I'm gutted,R.I.P maestro.

 

Damn! Missed seeing him play in Boston last October.

 

Incredible musician in all his incarnations: rock, blues, fusion and funk. Very high on my list.

 

Saw him and Stevie Ray Vaughn around 1988. Another legend gone

One of the best album covers ever IMO. Played that CD all afternoon.
Great guitarist and was a really cool guy too.

 

Yeah, there was some guitar played that night.

 

Always my favorite guitarist. He liked to work on cars, too. Most outrageous thing I heard from him was that he felt he was a better welder than guitarist.
