Fuck! Girls wanted to try eggnog. Two trips to the grocery store today and I still brain farted it out. Guess they’ll have to drink their rum straight.
Makers Mark for our Egg Nog. I've tried all kinds of bourbon in it....can't really taste any of it, so I just stick to Makers.
I had clear rum in it. I added a splash of generic Kahula and it turned out a lot better. Tonight Ill try some whisky.
Spiced Rum, Brandi, Cognac or my fave is Whiskey. You need the spicey notes in the alcohol to blend with the spice of the nog. Clear liquor will just add an antiseptic / alcohol taste to the egg nog and over power it.
