Grew up in Western PA in the 70s. Franco is an icon. Steelers games were family bonding. I was saddened for sure. Almost all of the Chuck Noll athletes were community stalwarts. I think that may be missing now. My high school graduation speech was about Rocky Bleier, that's the way Pittsburgh was back then - the schools shut down, it was just a total fanaticism. Great fun.
