No exactly true, DP wanted to return and prove himself on that Ducati in America, but could not be given the confidence that the bike could be made work better using Dunlops. No certainty that new or different parts different than what was already thrown at it, would be offered to HSBK program.
And he wasn't going to wait around to see what "light happen" between DNY / HSBK and Ducati Italy and miss the chance at the WSBK ride. So he went with the proven combo of Pirelli on Ducati.

Man, I dont know how to feel about this.
I think would be the last season for warhorse then. I doubt he would do better than Baz or Petrucci. I only say that based on what he did on the Attack Yamaha next to Gagne.

I haven’t ridden on the latest greatest Pirelli magic WSBK slicks or the current MotoA Dunlops but for those that have, are the Dunlops that much inferior? Comments by Spies over the years and to an extent GG fairly recently would indicate they are.

Ferracci isn't writing any checks as it's not his team. He's a liaison.

Hafta wait for official announcement, but Taz and McAMS both posted up a few hours ago it's not with McAMS Yamaha.
Not at liberty to say if isnside or outside BSB, other than that... :Poke:

  12. I’ve heard a good rumor and usually where there is smoke there is fire. We shall see.

GPone says Fores is being looked at for the Warhorse supersport ride with Herrin bumping up to SBK.

I was just curious so I looked, 2017 Honda finished 3rd with Cluzel, 2018 finished 8th with Smith. Not much after that.

Everything is different but the biggest is Pirelli uses a patented steel belting in the tread ply and that gives the different feel. Compound wise they are also very different.
