We use the little packets that dissolve when water hits it. Agree, liquid detergent leaves a mess. Man, it’s definitely the off-season.

Tide lids are the measuring cup and everything is shaped to drain nicely back into the container. There's no mess.

Ummm...toss the measuring cup in the washer with the load...no drips and the cup is always clean.

My coordination has always been sufficient to avoid making a mess with the liquid. YMMV if you are spastic.

Jeezus the easiest way is to measure the amount out using the cap and then put the cap under the water stream as it fills the machine…the water helps disperse the soap and leaves your cup clean after a minute or so

    WTF?

Fill measuring cup with desired amount of detergent. Start filling the washer with water. Pour in detergent, rinse cup. Then load dirty laundry. Never an issue with liquid detergent.

You need to use old school powder detergent for that. Or styrofoam.

Leave the cap in the washer for the load. It also acts as an additional agitator
