Maybe I’m just bragging but this kid impresses me every time we get to the track. We did all this on a shoestring budget and kept doing it after our pit rig was stolen I just wish we could get back to MA. No crashes, no mechanicals just a small group of believers in his talent (Off my soapbox)
It appears you've given him the tools and work ethic to earn great results. You're doing it right. You're just getting around to telling us what his competition already knows. Well done by both of you! You're not on a soapbox, you're promoting a hard working competitor.
Tell us his name! Like Boman, I don't know who you are. I could obviously go figure it out, given your placement in CRA and AFM, but I shouldn't have to Also.. I'm hesitant to even bring this up but please, for your program's sake: Don't shoot that image (specifically the one you posted) around to sponsors. I feel terrible shitting on something that obviously represents an extremely exciting accomplishment (that you should be proud of, it's super cool)... but that specific image won't help you look professional to sponsors. Hit me up in PMs or at chris at hotsaucesixfour dot com and I'll help you make a snazzier one if you'd like.
Sounds like a sponsorship opportunity... John, congrats on your unnamed adversity-overcoming protege and his success this year!
Sorry guys I totally spaced mentioning him. His name is Brenden Kettlesen. He raced Jr Cup in 2019 then out grew the bike and the whole Covid thing. His dad has done a great job getting us this far.
Ok, I knew it was Brenden. I’ve known him and his dad since they were on mini’s and I helped him get some metrakit parts, they are great guys. I didn’t want to say who it was in case you had a reason?
