I learned not to use the $199 Harbor Freight 12" Mitre saw for well mitre cuts. took enough tries to figure out it's just junk at angles.
Me too. I think I got the smaller version and wasted less money, but I finally had to borrow my neighbors trusty old B&D saw and it made the job so much easier. I could not figure out why the cuts were coming out wrong every time. Then switched saws and bingo - problem solved

after like the 3rd trip to home depot for moldings, i was like I can't be that bad. I just ended up using a mitre box and hand saw and problem solved.
