This is the perfect chance to own a very limited production (1 of 300 US allocations) piece of Ducati’s racing history in perfect condition. This 999R has been in a private collection for over a decade sitting inside a climate-controlled showroom alongside other amazing pieces of racing heritage. No expense has been spared, and this 999R just had a full service in July so it’s ready for a new owner.

The Ducati 999, designed by Pierre Terblanche, was built between 2003 and 2006 is a direct representation of Ducati’s racing prestige – having been raced in WSBK with Championships wins in 2003, 2004, and 2006. To comply with AMA homologation rules, the States got 300 examples of the 999R, the most powerful production V-Twin ever built (at the time, of course).

The MSRP hovered around $30,000 and for that money (a $7,000 increase over the 999S) riders got 26 extra horsepower thanks to titanium valves and a revised head design that increased compression. If that wasn’t special enough, Ducati made a few examples of the 999R in the Xerox livery used in SBK by James Toseland and Regis Laconi – here’s #246.

Aluminum valve covers were replaced with magnesium units and the plastic belt covers were replaced with real carbon fiber. Gear ratios were the same but Öhlins components replaced the Showa forks and monoshock. Radially mounted Brembo monoblock brakes are shared, but the wheels are forged instead of cast. The seat/tank console is adjustable, as are the bars and rearsets. The weight dropped down to 399 pounds, helping the 999R become the ultimate track weapon to buy at the time – and it was definitely the best version of the last year of the model.

This example (VIN: ZDM1UB5W56B017492) is extra special since it’s the last year the handmade machines were ever built, and this particular bike has less than 1800 original miles.

Included in the sale are the original owner’s manual, factory keys, Ducati Superbike commemoration, and the original cover. The bike is located just north of Atlanta, Georgia. 678-2SEVENSIX-66SIX1

Sorry man, but since it's not my bike I don't feel comfortable sharing. That info is between the buyer/seller.
