Why not cash it and donate it to a cause you believe in? If they send me one (not holding my breath), that’s the plan.

Put the money into the stock market, when they come looking for it next year give it back minus what you made off the money. You know, exactly like the IRS does.

I'm still trying to do the math on why one was sent to her. We did file taxes for her in 2018 after she passsed but I don't remember filing anything in 2019 related to her finances. They had already been dispersed according to the will and in the process of closing out everything. They did include the wife's name on it but we are simply uncomfortable with it so the wife shredded it.
