I have to laugh. We're a race removed from "Lorenzo goes bowling" to "Taka runs right up on Rossi"...

In other news - Rins again.

 

It sounded like Rossi lost his gear box then went down.

 

Rossi commented he tucked the front and took out Taka. He made no excuses and took full blame. Open and shut case.

 

Just watched the Moto3 race, seemed a little more nuts than normal.

Question: I noticed when Mav did his practice start, he clicked down into gear but he uses GP shift. How does that get him into first?

Yep. Then a separate button that needs to be pressed to allow a shift back into N.

 

The heat in Southern and Central Europe didn‘t quite make it to the Netherlands. It was 99F at 10pm here last night. We are finally getting a bit of a break today.

I will be the first to take that back. I stated that the onboard was difficult to figure, and I was apparently wrong (and I'm a long way from an Uccio). Good to see Vale concerned.

 

It was like a Kawasaki H1. That spaghetti frame cost him the win.

 

IIRC when Vinales got the lead last year at Assen, the announcers mentioned that it was the first time a Yamaha had been in the lead in 2018. As they were saying that, Vinales' bike went into a speed wobble (headshake) in the same spot Quatararo's was this year. So it would seem like Yamaha has had a year to address whether the issue was wind or bike geometry. I haven't seen a bike shake like that since Melandri's WSBK last year.
