    1976 Yamaha XS650 $3000

    From the original ad:
1976 Yamaha XS650 race bike (with Kentucky title)
Motor and work was done by Mike Wells at MWR Racing in Kentucky
1980 XS engine but has the pre-1980 7 plate clutch
Venolia 81mm pistons and Wiseco rings, 10.5:1 compression
    #59A Web cam
    R/D valve springs
    Stock size valves
Head was ported for a 671cc motor
    Stock bottom end/crank
    PVL ignition
    Omars exhaust
    Stainless front brake lines
    Adjustable clip-ons
    Aluminum rear sets
Race Tech front springs and emulators
    MikesXS fork caps
    Progressive rear shocks
    Tapered head bearings
Welded/reinforced/lightened frame, I cut just over 5lbs. of brackets, tabs and mounts off the frame
Fresh Continental ContiRoadAttack2 CR race tire (couple sessions)
New Continental ContiRoadAttack2 CR rear 130 race tire
Aluminum rims with fresh black powder coating, shouldered front, standard rear
    Stainless spokes/nipples
    New wheel bearings
    Bronze swing arm bushings
New brake pads, front and rear
New Sprocket Specialists 520 sprockets (1)front and (2)rear
    New 520 chain
    Steering damper
Brand new Airtech XS race body work (with stainless fasteners) and fiberglass tank with custom Aluminum flip up filler cap - the bodywork alone was $1100 (the tank itself was $500)
    Gustafsson XS windscreen
    Custom fabricated bodywork/seat mounts
Hughs Handbuilt brand upper engine mount
Hughs Handbuilt brand front rear engine mounts
    Comes with spare engine

What I’ve done since the purchase:
Title and tags transferred to my name. Current registration in FL (located in Naples FL)
    Airtech belly pan
Stock front fender, shortened for weight and aesthetics
Doc-Z roll starter ($1000) with Optima deep cell Marine Battery ($275)
The roll starter can either go with this bike or after the bike sells.
I'll make a great deal on the starter with the bike purchase.
This was originally purchased for a sidecar project, but ended up buying an F1 sidecar.
I can't seem to make time to get to this one, so it needs to go. XS650 .JPG

I can deliver this weekend to the Barber AHRMA event. I'll be there Saturday only.

If you have the room, I would bring it to Barber, and you would likely sell it!

That's not a bad idea. The only concern is we arrive around 12pm Saturday and are leaving after the sidecar race at the end of the day. We will only be there for about 6 hours.

Yeah, that may not be worth it. If you decide to bring it, we may be able to roll it into my pits if you want to advertise it. but your right, it may not be worth it.

It's a beautiful bike. I just unloaded most of my EX500 stuff so with one more bike gone, she could actually stay in storage without being in the way. If it doesn't sell I'll eventually try to get to it, but with the sidecar, the 125 and by next week an SV, the XS won't get much love anytime soon.

best of luck with the sale, and the sidecar race Vance.....whats your rig #?

I've never actually seen this bike, but Walker does do some pretty nice work and I'd bet it looks and runs great.

We won’t be in the race, just going up to watch and swap a bike. Didn’t make an AHRMA round this year. If she enjoys the atmosphere this weekend and gets hooked on the sidecar thing next month when I get her on the track, we will certainly be attending the roebling and Barber AHRMA rounds next year
