Wanted to honor Dreb by making this interview I did with him in 2013 available to anyone who wanted to hear Dreb doing what he did best, telling stories and talking motorcycle racing. It's a great listen, not because of anything I did but because of the gift that Dreb had for talking, whether as an announcer, broadcaster or just sitting around bench racing. Rest easy my friend... https://archive.org/details/Bri0047Dreb
Just amuses me you talking to each other on here instead of a call or text. I'm easily amused. That's why Dreb and I always got along so well
In my interview with Dreb, he talked about working Sadowski & Spencer. He said Spencer very analytical and could usually call what was going to happen at least three corners ahead. With ski, he said while he might not always call things exactly correct, he did it with such heart that he could sell you on it regardless of accuracy. Sounded like ski was his favorite booth partner. Dreb’s impersonation of Freddie was pretty funny too.
It has been great listening to that interview and watching all the old race videos. Dreb and Ski kicked ass!!! I am very sorry to say I won't be able to make it to Georgia this weekend. But I'll be thinking about Dreb, his family, and all his friends. Peter
Dreb was on Pit Pass Radio, a few months back. As usual, great stories, including how he was 'manufactured in Guam'. (There is a two minute open segment about dirtybikes before Dreb comes on) Enjoy. http://www.pitpassmoto.com/podcast/Brian_Drebber_05-01-18.mp3 EDIT: Mid-interview, Dreb's call gets dropped, but he's back within a minute or so.
One of my favorite Dreb / Ski races. One of my favorite AMA races ever too.. Incredible last lap from a great era.
Hey Guys, we set up a link for RSVP. Obviously it is not required, but it does give us a better head count for how many people might show up. Please RSVP if you can. Thanks -Matt https://www.evite.com/event/03CDH6S...link&utm_medium=sharable_invite&utm_source=NA
Boss and I will of course be there. If you need anything at all getting this set up just yell, same number. I'm in town and nothing pressing happening.
