Cool. Although I have no idea what the Class of 79 is either... Always wonder about fundraisers when they pop up so quickly and I know no one involved. Thanks for the info.
On with the slight derailing because I'm interested - looks like it's like the Wegman Fund/Red Flag Fund is (was?). Are the riders listed on that page actually involved in running it? Seems more like their names are being used the way it's worded. Either way, very cool they're doing what they do.
I never really follow flat track even though I enjoy it when I do watch but I DO remember watching him beat Marc Marquez at the Superprestigio.....I remember being soooo happy for him, it was a big deal. Wishing and praying for a full recovery, I absolutely detest hearing about these outcomes to our fellow bikers.
Classof79 is a class act and have and continue to help many. Class of 79 refers to all the great Juniors that turned expert in 1979, Scott Parker being the most recognized. Charlie Roberts and Wayne Rainey were some of the others. Good group of guys.
Oh so true. I know someone who fell out of a deer stand only 10 feet off the ground. He broke no bones in his back but the spinal cord was bruised enough that he was paralyzed. He knew right away what had happened and called his son on his cell phone while lying on the ground. The spinal cord is about the size of the average persons pinky finger and has the consistency of a banana.
I just donated, I am always leery about these things but this one seems pretty damn awesome what they do.
