I have a 99 ,r6 with vortex clip-ons. I don't know how high to raise my forks above the triple clamp. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't raise them. The clip-ons go under your upper triple tree.

I think he is referring to changing the front ride height rather than where to put the clip-ons. If you take off your upper fairing there are usually just 4 bolts plus the clip-ons that hold the fork tubes in place. Loosen all the bolts and slide the tubes up through the clamp to your desired height. It will vary depending on your brand of tires

Thank's lawdog78,I was refering to ride height. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great. I'm gonna run one last set of dunlops, then I'm switching to pirreli's.

    fork height

Stock is around 27mm above the tripple. I'm running dunflop 208's and have my forks 40mm above the tripple (to top of fork cap). Hope this helps....
