So, we as usual had a great weekend over St Patricks Day at Roebling Road. But after listening to the local news there talking about half a million people in for the parade and the hotels getting more expensive and harder to find every year (even with them having ten times what they did back in the mid 90's) we are once again thinking about trying to move it to a week later. Whaddya think?
Yeah, AHRMA is using the date they had when it was a precursor to their Daytona races, last weekend of Feb this year.
It's a great turnout even as is but it could be fun for the northerners looking to take a break from the cold for 10 days.
Not competing with Daytona could only help. Having it the week after eliminates the guys that wouldn't race Roebling due to the risk of wadding up a bike before the 200 or putting the time on a fresh motor.
Makes no difference to us since we camp....heck we didn't even notice there was a massive party going on a few miles away. We had our own little partying going on track!!
Some one at track cooked corned beef, cabbage and potatos between that and the beer being consumed, i wouldn't have wanted to be on bathroom clean up duty .
