Headed to VMD this year to race. Went up there once a number of years ago but can't find my notes from that weekend. Anyone give me some gearing comparisons for Mid-Ohio versus the southern tracks I usually run like Road Atlanta, CMP, Barber, Roebling or Tally?

I'm curious about this as well.

For one reference point my Mid-O gearing is the same as Barber on an EX500 and a 675. The Mid-O straight is downhill and pretty long, but proceeded by a slow corner. I run the rear 2 teeth smaller on the EX, and 3 smaller on the 675 for Road-A. The 675 still hits the rev limiter at Road-A at the kink. The EX is limited by power. No such issues at Mid-O.

On a 08 gsrx 600 I'm -1 front and +1 rear and always think it's about to hit the limiter but never does.

    I run Roebling/Road A gearing on the BSA's. But, I only have 4 gears . .. . . .

    Cheers,

    Dave

I'm with Dave: Roebling or Rd. Atlanta gearing. Mosport, too.
