About waivers, I know all the settings say 1 day, but why do players dropped in the first round (i.e. when picking up people Tuesday morning when everything is processed) not clear until Friday morning? It wasn't a problem this week for me, but there's a possibility it could create an issue for a Thursday game down the road. Players processed Tuesday morning in all my other leagues clear Thursday morning.

 

This is kind of stupid, but this is how it works.

"Ok, a 1 day waiver period means 1 full day on top of the day they were dropped. So if they were dropped Wednesday, the full day is Thursday, and they are available Friday."

 

I see. I was working on the assumption that Fitzpatrick has got to get better at some point. I mean… right?

Yea, it makes sense, but I don't think it's always been like that? I seem to remember players always clearing Thursday morning. Otherwise, people dropped in normal use with Thursday games are off limits for over a week. I feel like we would have brought it up in previous seasons if it had always been like that.

 

From everything I read, I think this has always been the case. I think it's more apparent since there are more Thursday night games now. And for the most part it only effects about what 24-30 players. And it's probably not the best game to have players in anyway. There NFL in reality should get rid of it as it's a subpar product.

Well...looks like I'll be getting the asshat award again this week. Been fighting a bad head cold, slept until 5p today, and had not one - but two players out. Sprinkles...if I manage to hold on...you will never live this down lol.

Good thing I'm a Giants fan, and didn't mind the Eagles sucking. I try to stay away from having other NFC East players on my team, but yeah, this year is a bit weird for me. I have no real strategy this year.
