Lots of money invested in the race by lots of people. I can see why they wouldn't let him race. If he won, the fact that he was arrested for assaulting an officer just days before would be attached to every story the press produced. Just not good for business. Looks like this is his wake-up call. Hope he takes it seriously. Apologies after the fact don't cut it after awhile.
I've got nothing going on this weekend.... Pretty sure I wouldn't win, but also pretty sure I would enjoy myself
I wonder what rule he has broken that they are using to prevent him from riding... I'd bet half the field had been convicted of similar or worse offenses.... Looks like they are setting themselves up for a lawsuit.
I remember when Jamie Hacking got suspended indefinitely (later changed to one race weekend) and fined $4,000 for swearing at the end of a press conference and there wasn't half this much "Let Him Race" support. And Hacking didn't even get drunk in public, assault an elderly woman, flee from the police, or punch a cop.
Look at it this way.....if a 51 year old woman is at Bike Week, you can pretty much assume she has a lot of miles on her. But I guess it is all relevant, the 29 year old man in this case was apparently acting 18 years old, and I don't see anyone mentioning he should "grow up" and act his age. But why split hairs, Eslick is accused of knocking her to the ground, not me?
you believe that half the field has a FELONY arrest on their record? if that's normal in your world, remind me not to party with you and your friends.
Do you think anybody saw Hacking swear at the news conference? How many people here do you think saw Eslick flee from, or punch a cop? And 51 ain't elderly.
You were the official tester for your glass dildo company? Ahhhhh......a little more clarity in the world this morning. Fathead!
1.2.3 ASRA and CCS reserve the right to revoke or suspend a rider’s competition license for engaging in any practice, behavior, or action deemed to be detrimental to the sport of motorcycling in general, whether or not related to a specific event or competition. More generally: 1.2.2 ASRA and CCS reserve the right to prevent any entrant or entrants from participating in any Championship Cup Series or American Sportbike Racing Association event including, but not limited to, track days, practices, racing schools and actual competition. Likewise, the Referee or Race Director can prevent an entrant from competing.
So "conduct detrimental to the sport" is only detrimental based on the number of people who saw you offend/hurt the victim(s)? Let me ask you this, it was two days before what might be Eslick's biggest race of the year....if he doesn't take his racing career seriously, why should the fans?
You were wondering why people weren't up in arms about Hacking's press conference fuck up but are upset about Eslick's alleged crime. Do you really not see the difference between people witnessing the incidents in question with their own eyes and having to take hearsay as fact?
So does this mean they aren't going to let Chumlee do a track day? Does Lethal Rog have any felony arrests? Dorks-only policy will ruin motorcycle roadracing once and for all.
Yeah. Doh! I was thinking more that he didn't have a broken jaw - then again, those guys didn't get arrested for a felony either. What a damn mess. I feel truly bad for everyone especially the team and including AMA and CCS for being stuck in something they had nothing to do with.
