  1. Don't worry. Plenty of our money will still probably go to the war machine as it currently does.

I'm sure it's great until they run out of other peoples' money. IIRC, you went to Wharton. Surely you know better than to believe that such a model is sustainable.

If Sanders is elected, I'll quit my job, close both side businesses, sell all my real estate, cash in my brokerage accounts, declare indigency and go on the tit. I swear to it.

Huh...I didn't say anything about military spending...would you care to take your "retard" hat off and try again?

  5. What makes WF special (relative to the shittier corporations) is that for the most part they take care of their employees. I have a friend who has been a cashier there for the past ten years and recently purchased her first house.

I've employed people at times, and will again when I need to. How many have you employed? I'm not talking about how many you've sent to do community service. :D

  6. I didn't say you did. I just pointed out that you don't seem to have a problem when your money goes to Bush and Cheney's peeps, retard.

Bernie doesn't want to take more than half of your profits, and most of the tax money still will not go to handouts.

Where did I state this...are you still drunk from last night or just stupid? A few hours will solve the former but the other...well not so much.

  8. That doesn't support your claim, and you're not smart enough for that kind of analysis. I have little doubt that you got your info from one of your wack job news sources.

  9. Ever been to Europe? It's pretty nice in the parts I've been to.

The Muslims I know don't live much differently than I do, other than never getting to enjoy certain delicacies, but if you really follow the bible, you won't enjoy those either.

  10. Neither.

The reason I said what I did is because you're frequently on here bitching about handouts, but rarely or never about the excessive military spending that takes more out of our pockets.

  11. Orvis, you seem to be having some trouble with the quote function, but I never made the generalization that "the wealthy make too much money."

Also, Reagonimics is trickle down economics. The theory that if you deregulate big business and lower taxes, the money will magically trickle down to the middle class and the poor, as the rich and big business spend it. and because of that, everyone will be doing well. It doesn't work.

What I believe is not really relevant here. The point is that if the majority of people living here felt oppressed, they would simply vote more liberal (using the real definition of the word here) governments into power.
The fact that I think that what most of what they are doing is unsustainable without some serious corrections is another matter.

I see.. you're making errant assumptions again. That's normal for you.

  14. It wasn't an assumption. It was an observation based on your posting history. You haven't bitched on here nearly as much about excess military spending as you have about handouts.

You're delusional. I drive all over the country and talk to people in all walks of life and don't give a shit what any liberals say - it's a simple fact things are better in most every area right now than they've ever been.

Has nothing to do with being in control of your own destiny or politicians or any of that shit.

Never known a janitor that couldn't live a decent life. I'd even bet most make more than I do.

And if the CEO makes bad decisions every last one of those people and all of the people in companies that sell to them and all the people in companies that all of the previous people buy things from are all out of work. Want an example? Detroit and surrounding areas. Yeah, one person can indeed have that kind of impact. Yeah that responsibility does make them worth serious money.

Just because you don't understand the job they do doesn't make the job worthless.

Hmm. I think that depends on where you look. I'm not doubting your experience, but in my area and throughout my travels in 2015, it is a mixed bag at best. I still see a majority that are not better than they've ever been. This is mostly, IMO, due to fewer manufacturing jobs in general. There seems to be a growing sector of service jobs that don't seem to pay as well, in general. I believe that is the case because those jobs do not offer as much of a benefit to the buyer, not because big biz is more stingy than they were. On the other hand, I've seen specialists in technical fields who are "better than they've ever been" such as in the Raleigh Durham area. Maybe I am not as well traveled.

I do think that government overreach in the last, I don't know, 20 or so years, has played a big role in hurting opportunity. I'm a small business that started with zero and produced product that enables me to provide for my family and employ a hand full of others. It is really a piss ant enterprise, but with the new barriers to entry, I doubt that I could pull it off today if I had to start at zero. Even today there are a few things that government has in its sights that I believe that would be insurmountable for us.

I have this belief that you either go to work for the man or you are the man. If you work for the man, you need to provide something of value. The more valuable, the more that you will likely be paid. Is that not part of the decision making that you employ when you pay your personnel at WERA? The man, in the long run, will always have to pay you less that the value you bring to the business. Otherwise there is no reason to have you around, it is a negative return. I believe that why Whole Foods is the shining example of utopia for dummies. They have simply found a way to get more value from the labor of those that they pay the (relative) high wage to.

I think that, unless your daddy has deep pockets, it is more difficult for you to be the man these days. I think that it takes money to make money and I believe that it takes more today (constant dollars) than it used to because of government. I believe that this is WHY we have a widening gap in earners. The cats with the big money can make a lot more if they are astute (and I know some rich boys who are not astute and continue to lose daddy's dollars--its funny to watch). Those who want to be the man have good ideas, as usual, but regulators such as Bernie and company make it more difficult for them. Bernie people think that to help small business, you have start a new government program.

I wonder how much capital a woman would need to start a new, viable club racing organization from scratch? I wonder how much it cost back at Evelyn, day one?

When Bush was in office, grids were a lot healthier.

I remember most novice and expert races being 2-3 waves.

I remember HAVING to come to WERA Friday Trackdays if I wanted a remotely good spot to park...

Not arguing but simply proving that not every area is better especially in relation to racing.

We won't even get into the professional racing aspect.

So when talking about the state the US is in you guys are only going to discuss the last 20 years? That's a fucked up view of history if I've ever heard one.

What's truly funny is that you're saying things were better just 8 or 9 years ago but now the world is ending and we'll never come back from it....
