Feel the Bern

Discussion in 'The Dungeon' started by Robby-Bobby, Dec 2, 2015.

  1. At one point I believed in Reaganomics, but it has become apparent that it leads to Big Business having too much control and ruining the country.

  2. For you, the first step is getting a job instead of worrying about trying to make irrational arguements all day long.

I think DJs are overpaid. Why should you have to build a client base or reputation? Since they are profiting off the real work of others, cap them at $25 per hour for the length of the gig plus a couple hours for travel and set-up. There really is no reason that an experienced DJ should make any more than DJ Tonedef Gotno Rithum. I mean he deserves it because he wants it and ain't got time to spend building up his clientele since he started up last week.

I'm just applying to your business the business principles you espouse .
You've now seen how irrational they are, now try to complete the sentence.
If they won't work for you, then they won't work for ___________.

  5. Neither Bernie nor I are saying that there should be a cap on what people can earn.

We're not saying that people or businesses are required to create positions that they don't need either.

    You guys are Nuts!

And you are a dumb ass because you support an old idiot and you don't even know the man's platform.

"...there has been an enormous transfer of wealth from the middle class and the poor to the wealthiest people in this country. That is the Robin Hood principle in reverse. That is unacceptable and that has got to change." - Bernard Sanders

    Happy New Year old buddy.

LOL, I have this feeling that you couldn't fully explain "Reaganomics" if your life depended on it much less know how it did, or did not, affect "big business.";)

It's all a matter of degrees. Even the US has moved so far towards socialism that most don't even know what a true republic looks like. I don't want to live like the Europeans or the Muslims as I value freedom too much.

I'm still waiting to hear your description of how the people in the Western European socialist countries are oppressed by their governments. :D

Holy shit that was tough 25 seconds. You do realize that because Wal-Mart is a publicly traded company the information has to be made available?

And both you and Bernie have zero understanding of economics. Real life dumb and dumber.

regarding the $15 minimum wage...you do realize that the big retailers love the concept of a new law to enforce that, don't you? It will further advantage them against the small retailers. The big guys have the advantage of scale so as long as wages are increased across the board they become even more "advantaged". Amazon, Walmart, Costco are all in favor of a new law. Once they have complete control of the retail market they will be free to recoup (and then some) any losses due to wage increases. The minimum wage earners will be no better off and the consumers will take it in the shorts. EVERYONE LOSES. (Except for Walmart/Costco/Amazon, etc)... And the inflation wheel gets rolling, again....

Ok then it should be real easy since there are "plenty".

Whole Foods is a new one for me, what makes them special?

Next??? I mean if there are plenty then why name just one? Isn't this one of your most passionate pleas with the business world? Educate dude, who else? Does your parties main man (George Soros) run any?

Priceless coming from someone (like many other like minded voters) who have ZERO ambition at ever employing others to the degree they bitch about others.....SMDH, never seizes to amaze me.

Spending close to half your time working just to pay your national income tax bill is opression. Then another 21.54% European Union sales tax rate. That's getting damned close to a new definition of slavery.

    Tax as % of GDP[1]
    Country
    49 Denmark
    45.8 Sweden
    45.4 Belgium
    44.8 Cuba
    44.6 France
    43.6 Finland
    43.6 Norway
    43.4 Austria
    42.9 Lesotho
    42.6 Italy
    41.2 Bosnia and Herzegovina
    40.6 Germany
    40.4 Iceland

No...you and Sanders are saying that you want the majority of my profits from my labor, my risk, my investment and my sacrifice and my dedication to redistribute to others who have no such values.

Only if you don't want to pay.

Do you have statistics on the number of Europeans who are very happy with the benefits they receive in exchange for those ridiculously high taxes? You might be surprised, and that probably would not help your argument.

I'm not a big fan of that system but from personal experience, I can tell you that am firmly in the minority on this side of the Atlantic.

The sad part is Sanders will probably get voted in because of all of the idealistic twits that think what he is proposing will actually work. It is pretty funny watching Democrats who went on and on about the Republican party being the party of old white men fall in step behind an old white man though..:D
