I recently found some old racing VHS tapes in my basement. This was well before everyone had a smartphone.

Maybe this clip has some of you guys on it from the F2 race at Summit Point in September of 1998. This particular one is only the start and first few laps until I bucked myself off and had a minor spill. I think I have the whole race from this vantage point but they only filmed when I and a teammate were coming around. No sound on this one as the video camera was failing.

I have more video tapes from 1997-99 from Summit, Rd Atlanta and Nelson and will try to get them onto youtube soon.

    Enjoy! http://youtu.be/Y6E58aAIpoA

Let me know if you have any #418 RZ350 or VF750, probably just Summit and GNF, maybe some Nelson on the RZ.
    Cheers

Just converted the whole VHS from that weekend. This VHS tape was failing but I managed to get the whole thing on the third attempt. Sorry it's so crappy but I wanted to preserve it somewhere.

Wow, you, Keener, Monty and Randy Dalmas were all novices. (All experts by the time I started racing in 2000.)

It's weird, I remember your name being Edmund and that you were #400, but I can't remember if I ever actually met you or not. Maybe Roach mentioned you a few times?

Roach bought that particular FZR so maybe. It was a pretty good one by that time but in the video it still had the single pot calipers :wow:

I had a good crash between turn 3&4 in April of 97 or 98 at Summit. Lots of short term memory loss after that......good times man good tim......wait, what were we talking about...
