Just saw on local news, semi truck racing at VIR this August.

Isn't that a freshly paved surface? I haven't ridden it since the repave and gator strips, but aren't those trucks known for being really hard on racing surfaces? Especially in August?

Guess the $$ was involved in someone chopping off on that.

I don't know what would be worse, that or the insane downforce and braking force gt type cars put into the surface.

guess that new pavement won't be staying new for long.

The new pavement was already pretty severely worn in T10 when we were there last August. Hopefully it's been repaired in the off-season.

Sucks for the surface, but that sounds full on mental.

    On TV anywhere, I wonder?

In a previous iteration they ran at Atlanta as part of the IMSA/ALMS events. Never had enough to really race them, was more of a demo laps. They seemed really loose, didn't have sticky tires on them.
