RIP Racers If there was a place Rick could of picked for his finish, I'd bet it would have been Daytona.
This was posted from one of the people I know who attended the school... "I had to make a drastic move to avoid running over one of them laying in the middle of the track. A student hit an instructor from behind while he was coaching a slower rider. The high impact had parts and debris all over the back straight."
Rick's MDPD connection always made him someone that I follow/cheered. Condolences. Rip Rick and Eric.
Will be missed, a tragedy. We were teammates 20 years ago at AMA GTU 3 hr races. I understand he was hit from behind by a Novice. Not sure if he was licensed or his experience level. Not sure unlicensed riders should be turned loose a Daytona.
Damn. We raced there last year and won the GTL team challenge. Missing it this year b/c of work. Rick was a legend. RIP to both.
