Yep ...... He held it together tho and that wheelie screwed Martin ..... It still doesn't answer the question of , will anyone beat Hayes in a straight up battle ? I believe its coming and won't be as boring as the last few years

Well, Hayes cooked the clutch in race 1 then the engine went boom in race 2, yet Herrin had no problem and neither did Larry Pegram.
Hayes was REALLY bummed after second race incident. I interviewed him after each race. They will be posted soon.
I'll post a link when we post them.

I don't know if Hayes was holding anything in reserve in race 2 before his motor went boom, but Martin was the only rider who dipped into the 36's during the race. So possibly he had it to beat him straight up???
