So its gone from selling a bike to wanting a street Bike... What is a good street Bike, cheap to insure and not that expensive (>6k)? No Harleys... I just need something that I ride and can blow some steam off.
DRZ400SM. -cheap to buy -cheap to insure -cheap to modify -impossible to blow up Get a second set of wheels (21/18's) to ride dirt and all winter long
I had a lot of fun on a Ducati Monster S2R 800 for awhile. Not much power, but fun as all hell. Only problem for me was that it's not a good 2-up bike. It was fun burning through the gears though, not something I can do on the ZX-10 on the streets (and not go to jail).
This....best bike I ever owned http://raresportbikesforsale.com/own-a-legend-original-93-honda-cbr900rr/
DRZ400SM is a nice bike, but only worth it if you pick up one that already has FCR+exhaust+3x3, otherwise it's a turd. You can pick up a literbike that is a couple years old for about the same prices as a 600 that is as old.
The best street purchase I made was an old Hawk for $1500. Those can be hard to find though. I really enjoyed my Z1000, but then bought the Hawk and realized I didn't like it $700 more per year for insurance. A DRZ could be fun. I have an old R6 that I really like, but I don't know if I'd like it as a street bike. I prefer naked street bikes with handlebars.
i have a triumph scrambler and it's perfect for blowing off steam. It's fast enough to get that little thrill but it's also nice to just ride some back roads. A bonnie would be the exact same too.
