    Hello, I have an 06 GSXR 1k
So I have heard from several friends in the past that I should tru a 180/55 and will be happier with the added maneuverability. I figured what the hell, I'll give it a shot and see how it feels. So I got it today, my roommate saw it and seems to think I'm going to have to completely change my suspension adjustment for new tire size. Is this true?

180/55 was the way to go on the 1K or really any 6.0 in rear rim for better turn-in because it had a rounder profile, but that was BEFORE 190/55 tires came out and your only choice was a 190/50.

190/55 have been readily available in race tires for about 10 years now and even in street rubber for like the last 5. No reason to run a 180/55 on a 6.0 rim anymore.

How do you put a bigger ratio tire and keep the same geometry???

190 wont affect much. You be more thankful on the side of the 190 on the track.
The dunlop ntec 200 slick is even nicer if your pace dictates.

Strictly street... whatever is cheaper and available.

Will I need to adjust my suspension for different tire size?

it will affect the ride height or you may need to run the axle further back in the blocks if you have clearance issues which will further affect your geometry.
