I've been told that 07/08 GSXR 1000 forks will fit on a 05/06 GSXR 1000k if you use the 07/08 lower triple tree. Would any of the 600/750 forks work as well? I have 20mil Ohlins (that are still good) in the bent 05/06 forks and I'm ready to get back on the track.

Short answer = no. There is 2mm difference in offset between the 05/06 (30mm) and 07/08 (28mm) 1000 triple clamps. I think i have the numbers right, I be getting old ;)

I have heard of people running 05/06 (54mm) forks in 07/08 (56mm) clamps with sleeves to take up the diameter difference.

If class rules allow, the 07/08 front end with the 28mm offset is a nice conversion.

the 07/08 lower triple will bolt on to the 05/06 frame. You can use the 07/08 forks as long as you have the matching 07/08 upper triple. It won't be superstock legal and you're offset will be less as previously posted 28mm instead of 30mm.

Would any of the 600/750 forks and lower triple work?

Why not just put the Ohlins internals into a good set of 05/06 tubes? At that point the tubes no matter what the year are just a "case" anyway.

I'm willing to do that. 600/750 tubes are easier to find (straight) so that's why I'm asking about those tubes.
