I stopped riding on the street due to safety concerns. I sometimes get a false sense of security because I now ride in only a controlled environment. This is an unfortunate reminder that this sport / hobby can be very dangerous.
LEEDS, AL (WBRC) - The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has confirmed that a man was killed after being involved in a motorcycle accident at Barber Motorsports Park. The accident happened on Sunday. The coroner says the victim was 33-year-old Brandon Williford from Riverview, Florida. According to the coroner, Williford had been racing on the track's "open day" where people race their own vehicles on the track. He allegedly hit a guardrail.
