Did they get rid of the law requiring you to bring a bag of rocks in case of a spontaneous stoning? What about torches in case of a witch burning?
Moose used to always like to say "let's fight like our ancestors, I'll go get a gun and you get a rock" that big hillbilly thinks he is funny. He lives right down the road from the Cherokee reservation... He also told about his ways with the native women with chocolate bars as bait...... too much information for sure.....
Another Cherokee here but to look at me, you just see the Irish side. I'm mostly Irish but my grandmother is Cherokee. Growing up I loved going to the pow wows, that is truly something special to experience. Yup...alcohol and fighting are great big genetic magnets for me!
Hey man, how's the family? You're a good dude for helping Palmer out. Stop in and visit . Oh yeah, Tsa La Gi!
Shee Ooh Jamie! All is well here, thanks. Hope you guys are all great too. I will be down home sometime this summer and come to see you... Try not to miss me too much
I have a theory on the Cherokee Irish connection. When the Gingers got here they found the Cherokee and thought, wow they have terrible tempers and like to fight and argue and shouldn't ever drink alcohol just like us.... We should breed with them! What could go wrong?!?! The rolls are jam packed full of Irish names...
I was the chicken before the egg. Scot/German My Mom (before she passed) chased our Scottish genealogy back well over 400 years, through extensive documentation research and a ton of travel to Scotland. Luckily, I still have all those records as I have her laptop. Amazing stuff. The German side I couldn't give a shit about. My birth father was an asshole. -jim
Half German, half Irish. It is pre-ordained that I drink (mass quantities). (that's my excuse anyway)
First off, I should admit that I was born very young and the reason that Acree is a mutt is because we found him under a rock while looking for fishing bait. Actually, I've traced my Dad's side of the family back to a GGGGG Grandfather that was born in Ireland in 1774. He and his brother landed at Hilton Head in about 1794. (I held the bowline while they stepped ashore.) Dammit, where's my cane? I have some Cherokee blood in the family since one of my Grandmothers was full blood Cherokee. Her sister lived with her and my GGG Grandfather. I also have a family picture taken sometime around the end of the Civil War and one of the members is a black man so there may be some black blood in the family also. I need to get more deeply into this but so far I can't seem to justify the 40 bucks per month to join Ancestry.com.
'Merikan here... that's all that means anything to me. Knowing my grandad and dad and who they are/were is what I consider my "heritage". As far as blood goes, I can trace a lot of it to western Europe; England, Ireland, maybe Even France. None of My physical features point to there being anything else, but who knows.
