Yeah, he is a really good kid & was riding very well all weekend. Keeping him in my thoughts & prayers
Talked to John Truslow this morning, and here is the latest. Ben underwent successful surgery to relieve brain swelling. He is in an induced coma now and being carefully monitored. The pressure on his brain is stable and things are as good as could be expected. It looks like they're going to keep Ben under for a couple weeks and gradually bring him out of the coma as the pressure decreases. John said he and Lou are hanging in there. He said thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
that makes sense.like i said it looked odd..so im guessing he hit the left bar and it "tucked" the front from under him..he tried to save but wasn't able. Hoping for him to recover 100%!
Ben rode his first 600 on one of my rental bikes at Autoclub last year, great kid, talked to him and his dad on Friday. Prayers sent.
FWIW - the latest news was the bolt they use to monitor pressure was faulty - new bolt is showing amazingly good readings and they're weaning him off of the drugs. We hope to hear he's out of the coma and doing great any day now.
