Checa's warmup time would have placed him third in 2nd qualifying!

 

I know I said it already but it's embarrassing that he's going faster than Rossi can on his GP bike!

Checa walked away from it - he didn't get much altitude, but he covered quite a bit of distance. I think it was turn 2 - long fast left hander.

edit - scratch that - it looks like it might have been the last turn.

I honestly don't know what impressed me the most...Checas ride in race 2 after that highside, or Biaggi's charge back thru the field. It gives me some hope as I coast down the backside of that hill that is life.
