Dude, it's the information age! There are plenty of ways to get ahold of me when this stuff happens! I go to work every once in a while ya know.

Deidra. What a nice name. Do you have much experience in homebuilt campers?

Definitely should consider a window. I'm way too paranoid to sleep in a vehicle loaded with potentially flammable stuff and/or gas vapors and not have an escape route.

16 feet of room and no real bed? uh

    bed(s) > cabinets
sliding door in the corner > swinger in the middle

  12. I like the window idea.
It being black, its gonna hot, that AC is gonna be working over time....

DEIDRA....... You about ready to hit the road, I know I sure am, I like the break, but then again I cant wait for the smell of fuel, men in leathers, and the road trips.......

    Black vans must be popular.

Not sure how to post from another thread, but I built the same thing years ago, even painted it black. It worked really good.

This was the best thing I ever built for racing.
Old ryder van, holds three bikes, 16 rear tires, 10 fronts.
AC, fridge and microwave, sleeps two comfortably and has storage underneath the bench-bed.

here is a small update with the rear/ bike area almost done.. im going to change the right side wall. Where the cabinet is, and i put in the built in cabinets (built within the divider wall via the girlfriends suggestion-idea), im going to do the same thing to the right side.. Except i will have like 5 of those, from basically floor to almost the top. Lets make no mistake my girlfriend has done 85% of the work inside the truck. I moved the cabinets/shelves and built the walls, but she has done ALL the cleaning, and ALL the painting thus far... She has worked her ass of on it.. Now as far as the running gear/motor area, thats all me lol.

Looking good man. Sounds like you've got a keeper of a girlfriend if shes willing to clean and paint your hauler. Now can she handle warmers and pit stands?

I grew up with a Diedre, a Benita, a Natalie and a Michelle.
4 sisters, a year apart in school, lived across the street and just as freakin' hot as could be.

They were affectionately known as the "Reesie' Cups. Yes, that was their last name.

Oh yeah, keep your headup Drop!! I was on the darkside for about 8yrs. It started with my daughter being moved away. Then excessive drinking, gambling, racing, broken leg, my business started to suffer, seclusion from friends and family, more gambling and racing...builders firing me because I wasn't being responsible as a contractor, DNA testing (open can of worms now).......end of story.

But, 5yrs. sober as of now. Life does and will get better.
