What can I possibly say that hasn't been mentioned already???? Other than today, sucks. That's two tragedies in a week in our beloved sport.......motorsports! Godspeed to a phenomenal personality and racer, Rest In Peace Marco Simoncelli #58, you will be sorely missed. Condolences to his family, friends and all the Super Sic fans out there. And let's not forget Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi, if 'WE' are feeling this amount of sorrow in our hearts I can't even begin to wonder what those two men are feeling right now. One final person, perhaps, we need to keep in our thoughts and prayers who wasn't directly involved in this incident but who may also have a heavy heart today is Dani Pedrosa. I don't know if he ever made amends with Marco after turning away from him when Marco tried to shake his hand a few months back but if he hadn't that poor guy must be feeling sorrowful today.
Very sad. I was at the Malaysian GP in 2008 when Marco clinched the 250 title. I remember the huge smile and all the photos in pit lane after most people had left for the day. I choose to remember Marco that way.
RIP Marco. This news was so hard to hear this morning. I just watched the race and had tears in my eyes. I'm pulling strong for Edwards, Rossi, and the entire MotoGP paddock to heal.
