I have a 2004 chevy 3500 1 ton, dually Diesel. 36 ft toyhauler. I get 8-9mpg with the hauler 12-13 otherwise
2001 31 ft georgetown class a motorhome(6.8 ford v-10) with 7x16 trailer, 7mpg city hilly terrain, 10-12 highway under 65mph, 2006 chevy 2500hd with same trailer, 10mpg city, 15mpg hwy
07 4Runner V6 towing 6x12 (non v-nose) I get about 17-19mpg running 70mph. I got rid of a Ram with the 5.9L v8 which got 14 unloaded, driving with eggshells under the pedal, towing I'd get 9mpg. Sometimes I wish I had a big setup like some of you guys, but these posts make me happy I dont lol.
2000 Chevy Express (Rape Van) G2500 diesel (6.5L) with a 24ft Pace Shadow trailer. I get about 23mpg combined freeway/city without the trailer. About 14mpg loaded for a trackday, and 12 loaded for a race weekend.
On the MUCH smaller side, I have a 6x10 blunt nose trailer with a 07 Tacoma DC V6 6spd, and I get 12mpg towing at 65-70. I'm getting 16.1 average driving and a high of 18.9 driving 65 on the highway. I'm shocked that thrak's 4-runner is doing better towing than I am going to work.
I always raced out of the back of my truck. I have a crew cab which helps with the space issues. I couldn't even guess how much fuel I saved
fzr400Tony, WTH, is that what it looks like in your avatar! You gotta give us the bigger version, or start a new thread... Classic!
01 F350 w/ v 10 pulling a 35' 5th wheel toyhauler, 10,000 lbs. loaded - 7. Running around without the trailer 12-14.
2010 Mercedes GLK350 3.5l V6 and 7 Speed auto. 21-22 mpg towing my massive 5x8 open trailer. Get's about the same empty. It gets better mileage then my Duramax I had pulling the same trailer haha.
I have a 09 Tacoma Access cab V6 and with my 4x8 open trailer with 2 bikes and full bed I get 18 doing 70 on flat interstate. Jealous of the 4runner with a bigger trailer!
wow... thats pretty good on the 4runner. My 98 4runner/auto sucks wind with an enclosed trailer at ~11mpg but my 99 dakota that had a 5.9/auto got 17ish conservatively.
04 Sprinter 158" wheelbase super high roof (the biggest one they made at the time)... 22 highway empty, 22 highway with 3,000# in it at 65-70, and about 24-25 around town.
'01 Silverado 3500 8.1L gas pulling a 6x12 v-nose. Too much truck for the job, but it has a day job. 9.5-10 mpg if I keep it at 60-65. With the 4.10 rear end it goes to shit quick once I'm over 70 mph. Running a steady 75-80 puts me down around 8-8.5 mpg.
2005 Acura MDX. 17 - 22 mpg unloaded (city - highway mileage). 11 mpg towing a loaded (two bikes, tons of gear/tools/generator/etc) blunt-nose 6x10 at 75mph (even on the hills to Beaver, lol).
Dodge Ram quad cab with hemi motor, pulling a 6X12 trailer, freeway mileage 15/16 with the trailer, 17-20 without depending on the season. Less ethanol = better mileage
