To answer questions: 12" eye center to eye center. I never raced on it, but did mount it on my bike to fiddle with the preload. I'm 190-200 in gear, and it felt ok around the neighborhood. I decided to part out the bike instead of race it. I don't know what rate the spring is. The lower eye appears to have two nuts on top of it for ride height adjustments.
