Really? Ok, if you say so. I didnt think it was some big pissing match on speeding, but if that is what you need to make your pants tighter, go for it..............
Just as I expected, the local squids have decided to emulate Rowdy. http://www.wcnc.com/news/local/Motorcycle-chase-in-Burke-County-reaches-150-mph-122591154.html
Still doesn't beat Scott Ru$$el's 165 mph on the way to atlanta airport on the way to suzuka in his porsche! If I remember right, he spent some time in jail and had to miss the gp race...
You're the one saying it's okay under certain circumstances and not others. Looking at the road he chose to do it under the same circumstances YOU choose to do it under. I think it's stupid and he did get busted and he'll wind up paying some sort of price for the stupid.
He got a ticket but not arested. If it had be normal joe, he would have went to jail and license taken on the spot! He was at a public apperance 2 hours after it happened.
All depends on how you are with the cop. I know plenty of people who have gotten similar tix and just gone to court later.
From what I read he got multiple tickets including speeding and careless and wreckless operation. The break he got is being able to go home on his own recognicence. Its not like they won't know where he is next weekend though, unlike most of us.
It's not like they can say he didn't know what he was doing. (officer) "are you crazy, driving that fast!? What are you, some kinda race car driver!" (Busch) "well, actually, I kinda am." (officer) "Oh. Then, can you sign this for my wife, she's a huge fan."
When I went out for lunch I made a video of the stretch of road where this infraction allegedly occurred (I say allegedly because it was based on information from local media, and they are known for getting things wrong.) It is a .MOV file, about 25Mb, and the camera was hand-held. I can email the file to anyone who wants to post it (I don't have the time), so everyone can watch it and make up their own minds about the advisability of driving 128 MPH on that stretch of Perth Rd.
