A type of dog food that I've been feeding the bitch has shrunk in size over the last five years! The bag of food started at 18 lbs shrunk to 16.8 lbs and recently has downsized again to 15 lbs. A 3 lb can of coffee was downsized to 2 lbs 1 oz and recently shrank again to 1 lb 11.3 oz. Why don't the fucking economists just say it since it's true. The USA has inflation of all prices. Sportbikes are more expensive, crusiers too, gold and other precious metals, energy.
Not only are the portions getting smaller, but they are also getting more expensive and/or staying at the same price that they were.
I used to live off of frozen chicken breasts that came in a 5lb bag for about $6 (eating 2 or 3 per day). That same bag is now $8 and only has 3lbs of chicken in it. Occaisionally I'll see it on sale for $5 or $6, but when it is, it's down to 2 or 2.5lbs. Now these stupid things are becoming more of a luxury than an everyday staple. It sucks.
Okay, now this one is evil. The paper companies are cutting the rolls of toilet paper 1/2" shorter. No lie. I had an old roll at the shop. Started stacking new rolls in the cabinet and the old one stuck out like a sore thumb. Checked it at home when I got a new package, same thing. I'm sure they are 'saving' millions by gypping us out of that little 1/2" off each end.
Who are you kidding. It took me a while to get used to the fact that the green stuff outside is the lawn not grass. Grass is more commonly found growing inside the house/home.
