Up to 193 mph yesterday but haven't been able to surpass that speed today. The salt is so wet and they've moved the starting line a mile down the course.

SCTA World Finals going on right now...Charlie V got up into the low 194 range on Friday. Saturday is the last day to try to get another 0.5 mph out of the bike

 

Per Chip Spalding via Facebook earlier: Pit Bull/KWS Motorsports BMW S1000RR does 202mph at Maxton today breaking the production record by 12mph!

Awesome. Talked to Chip during the week and he sounded optimistic.

 

Changed the pipe, windscreen, and front fender and running it again in a modified class.....fingers crossed.

 

Broke the record by 2 mph in the modified class!

 

What was the record?

 

I was there a couple of hours after they broke it.. I believe (don't quote me on this) it was 203.ish mph in the standing mile.

 

How much power is it making or is that still hush hush?

 

I have to admit...I forgot. Chip said he was going to post a big release with numbers and all tomorrow. When he called me earlier I failed to write them down. 203ish sounds right though

 

So you did 205 something?

 

I can't imagine what it would be like to go that fast.
