TL 1000 dealer mode?

I have a 2000 TL 1000R I have a FI code and the left pipe is sweping gas, I have the manual, I need to get inot dealer mode to read the specific code, with a mode switch tool part #09930-82710

Is there a cheat way in to check this out?

most bikes you can check with a paperclip and a connection near the battery. I dont know where that connection on your bike is tho

 

If you don't know the freaking answer, don't spew a vague guess. This is supposed to be helpful to the guy asking the question.

There is a white connector behind the battery. On the 2000 model, it's a 2-pin. Jump the two terminals, turn the ignition on, and read the code.

 

Maybe you should take your own advice.
On the TL1000R it is under the rear seat.

Find the dealer mode plug that is under the seat.

Jump the black/black with white tracer wires together
