I used to hang with some of Afa's WXW guys. Those dudes worked their asses off for what I'd spend at McDonalds. Two made it to squash matches with the WWF. One made it to RAW for a few years.

Used to work with a dude who would be MOBBED everyplace he went in Japan. Can't remember right now what name he wrestled under, Mike something.

 

Back in the day there were a few locals that made it big in wrastlin. Johnny and Tommy Rich...Johnny was a neighbor and i used to geek out big time when he would let me put on the tag team title belt. It's a shame really, the injuries, the travel and he could have made way more money and retired fat and happy doing what he's doing today which is right across the from me. Of course, this was back in the 80's. Not near as much money in it back then.
