OVERALL BIKE DESCRIPTION This bike is complete and ready to race. It was formerly John Early’s racing bike and now it could be yours. I have rebuilt the engine and have started it up. It idles runs and sounds great. All top end parts are fresh including cam, rockers and pistons. It is set up with .038” squish with a copper head gasket and CR is 11.4:1(still runs on 93 octane) The ignition is dual lead electronic with Dyna coils. I have not dyno’d this bike but it is very fast- ask around. It has professional port finishing and a radius cut valve job. The bodywork is in good shape but there are some scuff marks on the right upper and the lower has been slightly repaired and the color match is off a little. You may not want a red bike so I will leave the painting up to you.( I would race it as is… depends on what your priorities are) The tank is great except for one paint chip on the right side as well. The bike looks very nice as you can see but it is a racing bike so there are some blemished and imperfections. That is to say it is not a museum piece. This bike is a race winner in the right hands with a very fast yet reliable combination of parts. The CR gearbox is smooth and very effective for keeping the bike in the power band. Battery is located in stock location with quick connect wiring to unhook it. Please read on for details on all of the bikes features. CHASSIS: ∑ Cb 350 chassis fully race prepped. Very nice bike sir...... Although I have not a prayer of buying it, I would like to see it sometime. I should be able to write a check for a PVL soon, maybe deliver it and have a look at this bike?.....you need a donor LH side cover, is that correct?
I kindly ask that you respond to the email address requested in the original post. I do not have the time or patience to deal with PMs or finding your personal email address . The bike is for sale-
Yeah, Lizard, this is not Vietnam, there are rules! On the cost to build question....One would spend more money trying to build a cb350 like the one for sale, than it would cost to purchase it. Just thought I would thro that out there for any prospective buyers that may have been considering building one. And yes I know, but sometimes it is still a good idea to state the obvious.
SHit- I just realized anyone with an aol.com email address has been blocked from my email for the last 5 years... sorry to all you aol folks... bob is that you? I got it sorted out right before xmas. Damn I feel bad about that...
Hey Tim... good to see you're still lurking. I've been trying to get in touch with Mark since summer just to see how things are going but no dice. Joan and I sold the house in Dawsonville, GA and moved to the one in Louisville... I'm a Kentuckian now. I've just been concentrating on music these past few years and got back into serious cycling. Joan has been busy with her photography and has done several shows this past year and 2008 is going to even busier with more shows and gallery exhibits. Hope to get up to mid-Ohio this year with my truck load of XS650 parts and finally sell everything off. How have you been?
