Rich, you've got your answer right there, shved too much will "confuse your fuel injection", I did the same thing & i'm having the exact same...
Rich did you happen to shave the head on the motor??? if so it might have gotten shaved too much which could cause the upset in the iddleing, also...
Rich, do you happen to have the power commander along with the odnition module on your R6? if so I just noticed that my wires were plugged wrong...
