Just watched the video on Ricky's IG and nearly shit myself. Thank God everyone is alive and not seriously injured or worse.
There was a friend of mine in the ambulance at the time this happened. I'm sorry, every track should have some sort of bridge/tunnel for vehicles to get from the infield to outside the track.
Before you go get the pitch forks...there is also the factor of a young ambulance driver in this situation...do not assume race control gave the green light to cross....
Major screw up. Could have been so much worse. Glad you guys are still kickin. I'll be very interested to hear what RRR says.
This is by far the scariest, most fucked up thing I've ever seen at the racetrack. Had the R1 rider in the video been hustling, he probably could've stayed on track and cut in front of the ambulance. Had he been just a hair later and moving, that would've been a straight t-bone into the ambulance. And there's a second rider behind the R1?? How is that rider not dead? This is absolutely, positively, 10000% fucked up and unacceptable!! Without a freaking doubt, I hope these riders are having their bikes paid for to be fixed along with replacement of all gear. I mean, say a prayer and thank the Good Lord above that phone calls to families aren't being made. I just can't....even my wife was speechless!
I was not there, so my thoughts or opinions are irrelevant. Edit: Should have watched the video first, before saying anything. I deleted my thoughtless and casual comments.
I think everyone knows this is going to be a lawsuit. As such, we won't know who is truly the responsible party for a while.
Not guaranteed.....if hosting org/track/ambulance company steps up and agrees to do the right thing...I think it ends there. Try to deflect or deny responsibility.....lawsuit coming.
