Why do the announcers wear race suits? Are they trying to be cool?

I can only assume you are talking about the ones in pit lane. I believe they are required to have a fire suit as do the drivers and crew.

Audi makes some awesome street cars. They just cost a lot and are a bitch to get repaired.

I thought it was ALMS rules. Anyone in hot pits during the race has to wear nomex.

Really? So all the journalists and critics that love the R8, the A5 and the A4 are wrong. The TT also gets rave reviews about everything but the engine power. The RS models also always get top props, but I guess an auto maker that set standards when they were Auto Union and with rally racing "can't make a road car". Wasn't Audi only one of only a few select companies that actually had growth in sales last quarter?

1000 mile race yesterday was epic. I'm at work missing the 12 today.

Hypercar/GTP gonna make F1 look even more boring when the rest of the manufacturers arrive. These cars are fookin amazing.

The Putter poop-man freaked me out. :(

This is the most recent thread on the subject you could dig up? :Poke:

It hurt when I saw his name and had to remember that he’s now gone, but I’d rather remember than forget.

    tiggen Things are lookin' up.

As much as I enjoy sports car racing, I just can't watch the broadcasts. 3 minute long commercial breaks every 5 laps and announcers that are constantly explaining basic stuff for people who "might be new" and/or endlessly touting the NASCAR or INDYCAR or F1 drivers in the field.

I just wait for IMSA to put the race on their YT channel, but since they don't do that for weeks after a race I have usually lost interest at that point, given that I've also already learned of the outcome.

Sometimes I think Mongo must be in charge because they are killing road racing in America.

I like WTR, but Wayne loves playing the victim.
At first I thought it was Jaminet's fault . After watching a couple of replays , seems it was just hard racing.
